How do I find a hairdresser?

For reasons I can’t go into I can no longer use my normal hairdresser.
I’ve never had to make appointments or contact anyone before about it as my old hairdresser would just book me in for next time but I can’t use her anymore – she was mobile so would come to my house.

Every salon I’ve rang or emailed is not taking on new clients, so how do I find someone? I’m less bothered about me but my 7yo DD wants her hair short again (its shoulder length now) and its upsetting her the longer it gets (she has other issues as well its not just about her hair).

So how on earth do I find a salon/hairdresser?

They must be mad to be knocking back buisness. I had this same predicament a while ago, the previous hairdresser was not cutting my hair the way I wanted it and so I stopped going.
I just googled 'hairdresser near me' and actually struck gold, a very normal shop not high end but really really good haircut and took her time before and during, result was lovely
