Leaking Contigo mugs.

Bought two contigo mugs recently and they've both leaked. I've never had this issue before. Could always Chuck them in my bag and they'd be ok. Is it the new design? Anyone else had this problem?

I have one which leaks, it's infuriating. When you open the lid, there's a very narrow rubber seal in a channel. It's as if the rubber ring is slightly too big, so if it doesn't lie completely flat in the channel it leaks. When it's been washed and the rubber is slightly warm I try to work it into the channel gently with a skewer. It's a bloody faff though.

If yours are new, can you return them?

I think on one of them, the seal looks twisted but the others are ok. It's such a shame as they were the only travel mugs I trusted!

Oh no! My trusty (but not quite keeping drink hot enough anymore) contigo is being replaced by the new model in a couple of weeks as a birthday gift from DS!

I've used mine every day for 3 years with no issues & will be gutted if the new one leaks!

This happened with mine- the older version. The seal kept twisting, or coming loose. I gave up in the end and binned it, but it's frustrating because none of my other cups keep my coffee hot for anywhere near as long as the contigo!

We've just had issues with both boys contigo water bottles leaking despite both being less than a year old. This is not good to hear as love my mug as does DH.

I’ve had this with my contiguous, definitely try poking the seal in a little more.

Oh no! I have a much loved 6 year old battered one that still works perfectly. Was going to treat myself to a new one but I’ll make it last a little longer!

I bought two of the new ones as my old one leaked, but I think it was worn out. I will try poking the seal in a bit more.

I ditched my contigo due to the problem with the seal, it kept leaking. I bought a Built one instead which has never leaked.
