Where to eat in London please

Off to London for my Christmas work do next week and we're going to stay an extra day/night to make the most of it. Wondered if any London Mumsnetters could suggest some nice restaurant choices please?

Ideally not a big chain, as in not somewhere that's all over the UK and we could go to anywhere, but equally not extra fancy or posh because we're already spending too much Grin Centralish would be best. Happy to dot about on the tube but don't want to spend all our time on transport!

Thank you, from an excited midlander

I like Balans, seems like it might be what you’re looking for

Centralish covers are a HUGE area. But Megan’s is lovely, and I think there’s one near Covent Garden.

Try Kingly Court in Carnaby Street. A selection of great restaurants in a very buzzy setting. My favourite is Dirty Bones. The lights in Carnaby street are fabulous and you are very close to Liberty’s.

Cafe zedel in Piccadilly is great. Reasonably priced, lovely food and atmosphere.
