It's lazy journalism. I'm sick and tired of seeing articles based off mumsnet posts.
It's all for clickbait and advertisements.

SameToo · 26/11/2021 11:25

It’s very annoying.

MN is not a private website. It's no different to something on twitter making the news.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 26/11/2021 12:00

What's posted on MN is public.

Sparklingbrook · 26/11/2021 12:19

I don't see the problem. It brings new posters and therefore revenue to MN.
MN themselves share threads on their FB and Twitter ready to be shared far and wide.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 26/11/2021 17:18

As a journalist, I find it pretty horrifying.

SnarkyBag · 26/11/2021 17:20

I imagine it’s mutually beneficial for Mumsnet. I think someone summed it up well on a previous thread. We’re not customers we are content 🤷‍♀️

SnarkyBag · 26/11/2021 17:22

If you’re not bothered about people stumbling across it on here what does it matter if they read it in a paper?

supremelybaffled · 26/11/2021 17:30

World famous in Derbyshire then Grin

wonders how long it will be before the New York Times gets hold of it

HelplesslyHoping · 26/11/2021 17:43

Are we now gatekeeping MN posts?
