Party etiquette

My social life is shockingly boring, but tonight I am going to a party! It's an anniversary party, I know the wife but not the husband. They've hired a venue, proper printed invites, etc. Should I take a bottle of wine as a gift? I'll definitely take a card, just not sure of the etiquette as I don't tend to get out much, and I have a tendency to overthink things!

I do take a gift. A bottle of wine is perfectly acceptable.

Yes, there'll probably be a table set aside for gifts. Put it there with your card taped to the gift bag.

Yes take the wine gift. No need to take more than that though.
