A thread for understanding of disabilities

Prompted by a now deleted thread but I don’t want this to be a taat and @getyourarseoffthequattro had suggested putting together ideas that would help disabled people so I thought I’d start a thread.

For me, grippers to life things off the floor.

A tag on zips to make them easier to pull.

Using wipes to wash when bad day and to clean kitchen surfaces.

Keep floor clear.

Have upstairs and downstairs crutches.

Perching stool.

Bath board.

Please add other things that work for you or you’ve seen people use.

Has anyone tried the shampoo wipes?

Surely this is going to depend on the disability?

Are you particularly looking for gadgets or suggestions that migh help an unmet need?

It was promoted by a thread where it was clear that v many people had zero understanding.

I don’t even really know what I want I just want people to understand that we are all doing our best

I think there's a thread within Chronic Pain you may find useful?
