Sore baby bump

Hiya, I'm 41 weeks pregnant with our first baby (due to be induced next Wednesday). This past 3 days I've had an extremely sore baby bump, it even seems to be sore when baby isn't as active. I've also been getting stabbing pains in the front area of my lady bits (I've had Braxton Hicks a lot during this pregnancy- they don't quite feel like that). It's not constant and doesn't have a pattern. I'm just wondering if anyone else has/or is having the same issue and whether or not this is normal?

Hi congratulations on the pregnancy I have two DC and had mine both at 38 weeks so didn't make it as far as you but I do remember my skin feeling 'sore' towards the end. I also felt those stabbing pains like you describe- I remember reading at the time that they're normal and often described as 'lightening crotch' I don't think you have anything at all to worry about but perhaps you could just mention it to your midwife just to be on the safe side. Thank you! That's definitely put me more at ease, my friend recommended paracetamol but I'm a bit skeptical about taking it...I don't know whether it just seems worse because I know that we're towards the end of the pregnancy now and I keep looking out for little signs in hope that he might decide to come naturally. If it persists then I'll definitely contact the midwife to be on the safe side too! Thank you :) x
