Hello,

I've booked to get a mole on my face removed tomorrow using ultra high frequency electromagnetic radiation which "vapourises the mole". Can anyone share experiences please as I'm a bit nervous?

Thanks x

Hi- I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch but I’m thinking about getting this done and wondered how you got on?

lovesT · 05/07/2022 22:30

Hiya, no worries. I went ahead with it and really pleased I did. It looked a bit weird for a while until the scab came away but now can hardly see it! I'm sure after a while I'll not be able to see it. I don't think anyone else would know it was there if they didn't before and it's a very obvious place in my face. It was a bit painful and had to put savlon on it a lot but pleased with the result 👍

I've been looking into this too. Can I ask what something like this costs?

I had this done. Worked brilliantly. No pain apart from scratch of local anaesthetic. I paid £350 for first one and £50 for extra ones on day.

Thank you - I’ve got loads of the damn things and think I might take the plunge.

How did you find the person to do this OP? I have a million moles I'd like to get rid of.

lovesT · 06/07/2022 09:07

I think mine was between £150 and £200, closer to £200 I think as it was on the bigger side and white raised. I'd had it since I was very young and it kept getting bigger. I finally had enough of feeling conscious of it and wish I had done it sooner!! Mine was on a black Friday deal which I thought was weird haha but couldn't have spent much more so went for it. It was a bit gross straight after and felt like I had a hole where it was but it's completely smooth now and has been for a while, I had it done in November. If I can find a photo I'll post before and now later so you can see.

You can see where it was, but only up close really. I don't notice it now and over time it will be the same colour as the rest of my skin. It stung whilst it was being done but after that it wasn't painful, just a bit weird. It mostly had cream on it but otherwise was a scab the same size as the mole until that came away. Hope that's helpful. 😊

@CheeryTulip I just googled places nearby and looked at reviews, found somewhere in Glasgow 🙂

I’m in Glasgow so I’m guessing it’s the same place in the Merchant city? The photos look great- it’s a big difference, isn’t it? Very reassuring to see them so thank our as the ones on the website only show immediately afterwards which are a bit scary looking!

lovesT · 06/07/2022 17:55

@Flylilly I don't know Glasgow well but it was called KSkin 🙂

Wow that result is really good! Why did you opt for this instead of having it cut out? Is it supposed to always get better results?

I've had moles cut out but they just grew back..

Flylilly · 07/07/2022 08:14

@lovesT that’s the one. I’m definitely going to book it- thanks for helping me decide 😊

Hey,

I have a couple of flat moles and was looking into this Radiosurgery Using ultra high frequency EM to remove these moles. Can I ask if the moles have came back since your procedures ? And whether you would still recommend? I’m slightly concerned that this procedure may interfere / damage the moles but maybe that is not a problem.

Hey @Scott2905mine hasn't returned and though there is a small scar I'm pleased with it 😊 I was told it could return with pregnancies but I've been pregnant since and my son is now 2 and a quarter and no issues 👍

Also mine wasn't flat so not sure if that makes a difference!

Thank you very much for the reply ! Do you happen to have a before and after ( if not that’s ok). Was the procedure carried out by a Dr Sharma at KSkin do you recall? Also did it hurt / what did you do to ensure it healed best :)

No worries! If you scroll up there is a before and after from a while ago and I've taken one this morning as I think it's much less noticeable now! Dr Sharma sounds familiar so possibly but I can't remember exactly sorry. It was at KSkin in Glasgow 😊 pretty quick, uncomfortable more than painful but a bit painful but not too bad. Mine was above the skin quite a bit too so that probably took a bit longer. I just used a cream they told me to get from the pharmacy, just a normal antiseptic cream I think? Nothing fancy but kept it dry I think 😊 hope that helps! They told me when I was there what the aftercare is
