Treasure hunt clues for adults

This year, DH has to work for his advent treats! I’m fed up of thinking of small things to fit in those ridiculous sized boxes so this year I’m doing clues to different locations in the house in order to find something.
Does anyone have any ideas for clues?

Well I’ve had a google -there are so many children’s ones but hardly any adult. They are also mostly American but you should be able to tweak wording and se the less childish ideas

I have done an Xmas Eve treasure hunt for DD for the last 13 years - she's 18 now... When she was younger it was clues similar to the ones a PP posted but as she's got older I've done more and more complex clues - for example "my first is in x, but not in y", have planted clues on Instagram, have done maths based clues, have devised themes linked to books or dvds we have in the house (regularly do a Buffy clue). My hardest clue was a puzzle to solve, the answers of which gave you a journey to map out on the Tube before the answer was revealed!

I've spent ages looking for good adult scavenger hunts on line but never found many - I tend to find the hiding place and work backwards from there to devise a puzzle/clue. Am not sure I have any of our previous treasure hunts, which is a shame!
