So, we’re (me, DH and DD 15 and DS 13) due to go to Bruges next week. Eurotunnel to Calais then drive to Belgium.
I think we’re clear as to what us adults need to do for both arrival into France and for staying in Belgium but I’m really confused about the teenagers for the Belgium bit.
Looking on UK Gov website and other websites suggests as we’re on red list for Belgium (but amber for France!), the kids who are classed as unvaccinated have to quarantine on arrival and get a test???? Anyone shed any light on this?
They’ll need to do a non-NHS PCR or LFT no more than 24 hours prior to travel to France- does anyone know if Belgium will accept this as ok? Would they then have to do one 72 hours later as way to prove they’re still ok? (Although only there thur-sun).
What’s frustrating is that both kids had Covid back in august so if they could do what adults could and be provided with a recovery certificate we’d be ok! Really don’t know why they can’t do this for 12-15 year olds!!
The info out there is so conflicting and confusing, I’m getting overwhelmed so any clarity around this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
