I've quit a job and part of the reason was the lack of clarity in my role, being held responsible for things I had no control over, a bit shambolic.
Management response has been shambolic, with emailed proclamations saying "Fine we'll do this... No we'll do this..." Some of which is physically impossible and some of it just bad for the org. All email because management remote.
A. One of the possible responses would be for me to just email back: "None of this is workable so if you want to discuss workable solutions for handover let me know and we'll set up an actual meeting". This does violate my personal rule of never ever getting into stupid email fights.
The other option is to just roll my eyes and quietly carry on with my own plans.
I tried to have a talk with one of the managers and she just doesn't want to deal. She kept looking at her phone.
Which option would you go for?
