How many days of the week do you or your DC have "commitments"?

I'm not talking about school or work but other commitments - hobbies/sports clubs.

I'm feeling frazzled at the moment despite my one DC being a teenager and wondering if it's due to too many commitments.

At the moment one or the other of us has a club every day of the week except Monday and Thursday. It feels too much but I'm not sure if I'm being a bit pathetic!

It’s not a class thing. I’m originally working class and did brownies/scouts, athletics, ballet and orienteering when I was a kid.

My kids do ice hockey, skiing (winter) Chinese, swimming and tennis (summer).

Unless they’re playing polo or fox-hunting, hobbies are generally class-less!

It might not be a class thing necessarily but all the clubs cost money and therefore you have to have a decent amount of disposable income for your children to attend so many!
Not necessarily. Our secondary school offers 20 different after school activities - 4 each school night. Sports, art, science. They also fund DofE Bronze and Silver entirely.

My elder DDs Grandparents also pay for any clubs they want to do. Middle DD is Autistic so doesn’t do any but should that change, they’d fund it.

Youngest DD I pay for everything as ExH isn’t in her life and nor are his family.

Money is an obstacle for us but also time as I don’t drive, I’m at Uni till 5pm most nights so that leaves only weekends that I could take them anywhere.

Depends. I earn a little over minimum wage and DS does lots of clubs including horse riding which is not cheap. I just have low outgoings.
