Headache - any advice

Have a bad head all days and nothings even touching it. It's at the front above the eye and temple.

It feels like someone is driving a nail into my head.

Just had (about an hour ago) two co codamol and a Sudafed. No improvement. Aslo tried one forehead thing!
It's really painful when I move my head so I'm thinking I'm heading for a sinus infection which I've had before.

Any ideas what I can do to make it better. I'm well in myself and sat up watching tv and eating tea but just the pain!

Could it be a migraine? I get them every now and again the pain is always around one eye and motion makes it worse - if it is a migraine all you can do is push through/sleep it off I'm afraid! Pain relief hardly touches migraines which might explain it.

Have you done a Covid test? Headaches are a symptom of the current variant so may be worth checking

Hope you feel better soon, headaches are awful!xx

Im having a shocker with headaches at the moment and have been sent fro a scan on my temples and CT scan tomorrow. No normal painkillers touch the sides. Is it anti biotics for sinus trouble ? Get well soon

Have you done a LFT? I tested positive for COVID last week and that sort of headache was my first symptom, it has continued for more than a week.

I mean:

I don't think it's a migraine as I have these in the past and usually fell unwell with them and I don't feel generally unwell.

Ha! I too though I was immune...this was one of my Covid symptoms. (No temp/cough though)

Get a flannel as hot as you can stand and place it on your forehead. It really helps me.

I had running from my canine tooth, up the side of my nose, around my eye and pushing on the back of my eye. Like an axe stuck in my head.
Nothing touched it.
Lasted about 10 days.
Fine now, and has been for about a week.

I have migraines and what I find really, really helps is a hot water bottle on the back of my neck. Hope you feel better soon

charabanctrip · 24/11/2021 08:34

Sounds like sinusitis.

Get a saline nasal spray and a Beclometasone nasal spray.

A hot water bottle over the area really helps.

Co Codamol for the pain.

Thanks everyone last night I fell asleep on the sofa and woke up and it had gone!

Was dreading it being sinusitis. Finger crossed or stays away.
