Was going to post under Health but not sure how active it is.

I’ve been very recently diagnosed (Friday) and my levels came back as 66.

I’ve been started on Metformin

I’ve bought a blood glucose monitor and until I see the diabetic nurse in two weeks I am taking six measurements a day. Generally this is before meals and two hours after. So far the results are normal to borderline, .

Weirdly I went off of pasta and bread a few months back, it was like my body was trying to tell me,

I’ve found the diabetes UK website which is fabulous but wondered if there are others here.

Before diagnosis I’d decided to lose weight so joined SW. however o do t follow their diet, I count calories which suits me better. I’d lost 6.5lbs the first week just before getting the call regarding my diagnosis.

Since then I’ve focused in on carbs , I could never do Keto but I can keep my carbs between 60 -120 a day. This hasn’t been a hardship.

Anyone else?
