A few weeks ago I noticed that Boots had mistakenly given me £1800 worth of points. I was waiting on around £17 worth due to purchasing a new washing machine through the website. It stated in the blurb that it takes up to 3 weeks for the points to be applied. I checked every few days and then noticed the extra points.
I immediately contacted them to let them know and it took several emails and days for someone to get back to me. I didn't want these points I haven't earned and had no intention of spending them. I felt a bit panicky if I'm honest.
They then froze my account and said they would look into it . Well that was over a month ago. The points were removed and my original ones reinstated but I was curious as to what happened but have heard nothing back. Is it wrong of me to want a bit of gratitude and maybe a discount code or a few points?
Has anyone else had this (or similar)happen to them? 🤔
