What do I do? (Miscarriage related)

I found out I was pregnant last Monday, very unexpected and amazing. However I've had bleeding over the weekend so I went to epu and they scanned me today and said a miscarriage is imminent, cervix is open, no discernible baby and bleeding.

It's shit. My issue is. I started a new job on Friday. They said I need to have a d&c on Thursday which is fine because it's my day off but do I go in tomorrow which is my next shift and explain my situation then go home or just call in in the morning and explain why I'm not coming in.
Help!

Phone in and tell them. See how you feel in a week and update them. I was signed off for two weeks after my procedure. Be kind to yourself and rest up. Work will wait a few weeks and I am sure they will be supportive.

Ring them and say you've unexpectedly been called into hospital for a minor procedure and what are your options for leave (if you don't want to take sickness)
I wouldn't go into too much detail at this early stage of the job.

Ring them - I've had 3 and I really did need time off certainly with two of them. I told work truthfully what was happening and they were incredibly supportive. And it goes down as pregnancy related sickness (in my work anyway) so didn't count towards days off etc. I hope you're ok, every loss is different so listen to your body and what you need. There is no normal here or right thing to do.

Same thing happened three days after my perm contract started from an agency job.

I emailed and told them I had a gynaecological problems requiring hospitalisation. The doctor wrote me a two week sick-note and put the same on it. I was off for 5 weeks as opted for medical management and had retain products.

The second time I had surgery and was back at work in a week (told them the real reason that time).

Use your judgement for what feels right for you.

Sorry it happening -it's really shit Thanks I have been there too many times
