I tend to do it with black treacle, and it’s great. Anything sticky and sweet will be good!

I think it’s better. Heated it adds to the “meatiness”

It will be totally fine. I use it in cooking all tbe time as I’m vegan so don’t use honey. Actually some vegan recipe books use it as the default. It’s much nicer than agave IMO.

I love it and weirdly I hate honey but I always put it in when a recipe requires it. Maybe I will like the maple syrup version better!

I use this one.

I follow a couple that live in Japan on youtube, the husband is Canadian and the wife is Japanese and in some of their cooking videos they use maple syrup for a lot of things where you'd normally use sugar or honey, pretty sure I've seen them do it with teriyaki too so I think it will be fine!

It tasted pretty much the same as usual!
