What small things do you to be nice to yourself?

It's been a tricky few months and horrible hormonal probably menopause related anxiety and tired have combined to leave me at a bit of a low ebb
So on a Monday I walk a different route to work which although longer is nicer and stop on the way and sit in a cafe for 10 minutes for a coffee
Only something small but feels a bit of a treat for just me
Helps clear my head
Any ideas of other small things that may help boost me up but without taking a load of time or money

Going for a cycle on my lunch break (I WFH which makes this possible)

I agree about flowers and pot pants. So much pleasure from them.

I have my local library app on my phone (Libby) and I can read books, newspapers and magazines for free (lovely to do whilst drinking your coffee).

Like other posters, I sometimes buy a small, cheap bouquet of flowers from Lidl as a treat for £2-£4.

Some nice body wash - something slightly more luxurious than you normally use, so it feels like a treat.

I've bought myself a bunch of flowers (just from the supermarket) every single week for 15 years!

I also walk to and from work, 2 miles each way like you OP that was one of the first things that started to help my anxiety. Me and DH sometimes drive to the coast at weekends if its not raining and do a coastal walk (just being by the sea relaxes me actually, my goal is to live there one day!).

Make playlists on Alexa. I enjoy doing that.

If I see a book I want I buy it online. ( second hand or new, I don't care) .

The other week , Tesco were selling phalaenopsis orchids for £5
; all different colours. Couldn't decide which I liked best so.. I bought one of all of them. Then I spent a happy hour watching youtube advice on orchid care...

Whenever I discover some desirable garment in different fabrics or colourways... no need to choose which. I'll have one of each, thanks.

If I see a TV cooking show and fancy a recipe, I order the ingredients and make it.

I have annual postal subscriptions to my favourite magazines.

I make sure we never run out of my favourite wine.

Get yourself some HRT!

I buy books and pumpkin spice lattes when I am out shopping. And nail varnishes, even though I have loads.

Book a days holiday for just a movie day to myself (or beach trip in the summer).
