What colour are THESE EYES

Inspired by another thread, my sons eyes are very unusual he is now 2 and a half.
What colour would you say his eyes are? C

They look grey, similar to my sons eyes.

I think they look green. Very nice!

I’m seeing a grey-brown mix almost like a mink/fawn brown.

I'm thinking a dark grey. Most hypnotic.

THOSE EYES ARE KHAKI

Actually I’ve just looked again, closer up this time, and my dds eyes went through several colour changes. She started with blue and her eyes looked this colour when she was about 3.They then turned hazel before finally settling on green

I know genetics are complicated and down to 16 genes now but I have blue eyes and his Dad has very dark brown eyes. The outer ring of the iris is like a dark blue, then seems to go from dark blue into brown in the centre. It's so hard to get a photo. They have been like this since he was around four months old.

I'd say grey/green. Mine are similar, depends on the light.

And I had a blue eyed parent and a dark brown eyed parent too.

I thought a dark shade of green, but couldn't quite put my finger on it (I wonder where that phrase came from), but then I saw Nasturs answer, and I immediately thought yes. I do think it is a darker shade of khaki than might be considered the most usual, but yes, it definitely looks like khaki to me. By the way OP, I think they look stunning, what a gorgeous child you have there!

Looks like dark hazel to me. What a beautiful child!

I'd call them brown but they are a slightly more interesting shade of brown iyswim, be interesting to see what they turn out like.
I have dark green eyes but think mine may have been a similar colour when younger, difficult to say when photography wasn't so great 40 years ago!

Well that's not true. My DC have very dark brown eyes and have had them since birth, they've never a lighter shade.

I'd say your son's eyes are hazel, OP.

So interesting! They have been like this since he was born but maybe they will change. My sister has similar eyes, appear to be dark rimmed then paler, but they are more blue. We shall see, will try and remember to update the thread when he is older!

They remind me of an owl. That is a compliment though.

Grey with a border.
I have greyish-blue eyes with a border (from a bright blue/border eyed and a hazel eyed parent) and your son's look quite similar to mine but a couple of shades darker/muddier in the "blue" area - it does not surprise me that you say he has a blue eyed parent and a brown eyed parent as it appears he has blue with border + "extra colour production ability but not enough to actually make the whole thing 'brown'" overall.
