Love Actually- aged well or not?

Just started watching it on Netflix, not seen it for a while. I can’t believe it’s 18 years old! I still think of it as only a few years ago.

If you’ve watched it in the present day do you feel it’s now a bit dated? Or timeless Christmas classic?

The main redeeming part was Rowan Atkinson wrapping up the parcel - I never tire of that scene, and the impressive performance by Emma Thompson. Rest of it is tosh.

I mean, it is a complete load of sexist tosh, BUT I do love it. The sheer number of quotes I hear all year round from my family:

Eight is a lot of legs, David
A cinnamon stick, sir
Ant or Dec
Solid gold shit, my friend
We love Uncle Jamie; we hate Uncle Jamie

And my personal favourite (when Aurelia reveals she has been learning English) - “Just in cases” Grin
