Is this a nice gift or naff?

I saw a lovely card in a farm shop, I know my mum would love it - it's a watercolour of the breed of dogs she used to have.

Bought it to give as a card, but then I thought about getting a frame for it and giving it as a gift, it's not got a message on the front, its the same sort of art work you'd see on a canvas print i think it would look lovely but it is it naff to frame a card?

No, not if it’s a nice card

It’s a really good idea. I do this too Smile

Why not take a photo of it and create a canvas print? That will personalise it more.

She’ll hang it on the wall in a frame but as a card it will probably go in recycling or a drawer so I’d put in the frame. She’ll get much more enjoyment out of it that way.

Lovely idea.

Not naff at all, it’s a lovely idea

Thank you. I will do it then. Just needed second opinions 😁

Also, if one/some of her former dogs were dearly beloved and sadly missed, another idea is a canvas print of them in their memory 🙂
