Is anybody awake...? I feel like crap! :(

I've been feeling unwell since Friday, when I came down with a full blown 'cold / flu' type illness.
It started with a really painful headache around my eyes, bridge of my nose and sinus areas (never suffered with sinuses before...) and nothing would seem to take the pain away, no matter what tablets I tried!
I then began to get a blocked nose. Saturday I felt absolutely horrendous, no energy, really lethargic and sore throat, and this morning I've just woken up to find I have absolutely no sense of taste or smell whatsoever!!! 😢

I am so scared it could be covid. It's been going round my workplace like wildfire this past week, and I've really tried my best to keep safe and avoid it but wondering if it's finally caught me..?!

I had a PCR last week as I was getting on and off excruciating head pain, which came back negative.

Since Friday though all of these other symptoms have started and I'm wondering if it could be covid. My lateral flow tests are all coming back negative.

Anybody that has had covid before, do these
Symptoms sound familiar..?!

Also it appears a bit of insomnia too as I'm up and wide awake at the most random of times 🤔

Sorry to say that's exactly how I felt - I'm on day 8 of confirmed COVID. Feel better soon x

Book a PCR for today. Sounds like it.

I had Covid in August, and had similar symptoms to you. I also had a sinus infection last week, and your symptoms are exactly what I had as well. Including loss of taste and smell. Where I am, a good few people have had this infection. I did go for a Covid test just to be safe, but it came back negative and antibiotics cleared it up in a week. Probably safer to do another PCR, but just to give you a ray of hope that it may not be Covid!!

Sounds like covid. Do book another pcr now before you miss the chance to catch it. You may have done your firsf pcr before it would show up on a test. I know so many people for whom lfts haven't showed it up.
(They aren't really for if you have symptoms.)

Thanks everyone. The fact it's been spreading like crazy at work is what's worried me the most, there is around 30% of our entire workforce down with it at the moment, which is a lot for our small company.

I had very similar symptoms in July - it was covid. The first four days were the worst, then I gradually started feeling better. Book a PCR.

Sounds like COVID

Hi, I had covid a few weeks ago and just had a headache, no other symptoms really. However, I know have the most awful cold and sinus infection, just like you describe. It's terrible. I'm awake because my entire face is painful.
So it may not be covid, I think everybody is suffering more from all bugs because we haven't been exposed for such a long time.
