How to feel better quickly

I've had a headache since Friday. Streaming eyes. Spent most of today in bed. Now have insomnia.

Tomorrow I have to do housework, food shop, prep lunches, make lunch/dinner, finish a report, prep for week. I feel sick thinking about all of it.

I reckon housework 3 hours, shop 1 hour, cooking/prep 1 hour, report 4 hours. So 10am start is okay.

Anyone else lacking motivation but got to do things anyway and want moral support to get sorted tomorrow?

Have you checked for covid? I've just had it and these were three of my symptoms - headache, sore eyes and insomnia (sleeping pattern still all over the place which is why I'm up now).

I have to work tomorrow and finish something for a deadline. My best suggestion is to aim for small goals with rewards, like, I will do the dishes then get a coffee, I will do 1 hour's work then have a snack, etc. I often find once I get the ball rolling I do more.

Can you make life easier by getting something like a ready meal or pizza that doesn't need much work?

Can any of the housework wait or could you ask (/pay?) DC to do some?

First leave the house work do essentials thats all... be fine op xxxx

Oh bless you.

School dinners?

Is food shop absolutely essential or could you do corner shop for bread and milk, and order the rest online? Asda usually has next day slots here. Or some Aldis do click and collect now

Can you not cobble anything really easy together for dinner? Egg and chips?

Housework can just wait a couple of days. It's insane to do 3 hours' housework when you feel rotten. If I were your employer I'd be begging you not to run yourself into the ground and end up needing to take a long time off. Rest up as much as you can, it's a good investment in getting back on your feet.

And PP is right about getting a covid test if you haven't already.

I've been like that for 10 days.if I do anything much I feel awful. I go to work and then climb back into bed. Do what you have to and no more.

That sounds very Covid-y to me.

There's no need to do three hours' housework when you're ill. Just leave it, you'll still have to clean it again next week after all 😁

Morning all. I've had breakfast and taken sudafed and about to tackle the washing up.

I did a covid test and its negative. So just plain old sinus issues.

I'm WFH this week and always forget I can take a 20m nap at lunch. Any longer than 20m and its counter productive tho as am really groggy.
