Is my child's drawing good for their age?

DS is 4 (nearly 5) and he's always drawing. I obviously think they are brilliant but I'm his mum so I would. Just wondering if he's skilled for his age or if I'm seeing it through PFB lenses. I think I'm just amazed because I can't draw at all. Grin

Brilliant. I can’t draw much better

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 20/11/2021 15:08

Brilliant! Definitely advanced for his age Smile

WildStallyn · 20/11/2021 15:09

Yes, really good. About on a par with my DD at the same age and her teachers have always commented she's one of the best little artists they've seen.

Muttly · 20/11/2021 15:10

Really good they look like an illustrator did them like the guy who does Roald Dahl books

CrumbsThatsQuick · 20/11/2021 15:11

I like them a lot! Very impressive 👏 👌

CarpeVitam · 20/11/2021 15:12

Yes, very good for 4/5 year old!

50ShadesOfCatholic · 20/11/2021 15:50

Oh he's amazing,so much detail and long attention span.

I once managed an art project for 3 and 4 year olds, we had around 1000 children involved and there was nothing of this standard.

Certainly better than anything I could draw 😂

DeadButDelicious · 20/11/2021 15:53

They are smashing! Especially considering he's only 4!

What on earth is going on atm
This is the third post in the last couple of weeks asking for comments about kids drawing.

It's a drawing,... And? What does anyone want to get out of these posts?

MahMahMahMahCorona · 20/11/2021 15:54

SortCode · 20/11/2021 15:59

Some of us are interested.

And what are you getting out of your reply?

Bit ridiculous to open a thread on a subject you've no interest in, then to pist such a response

NovemberNovemberDarkNights · 20/11/2021 16:06

@CheeGee

They are very good for a 4year old. Please feel free to share more!!

Changednamesorry · 20/11/2021 16:08

I think they're excellent. Genuinely.

makelovenotpetrol · 20/11/2021 16:29

@NovemberNovemberDarkNights in so far as I was aware I'm allowed to post what I want without you telling me otherwise.

Ilovesandwiches · 20/11/2021 16:37

They’re brilliant! I work in early years and can confirm these are great xxx

CheeGee · 20/11/2021 17:12

Thanks all. I posted because asking other people if your child is talented at something is not really something you can do in real life. Hopefully his love of drawing will continue!

I think the drawings are really good. The lorry one is pretty detailed and I can’t draw a cat as well as that! Blush

WakeUpLockie · 20/11/2021 17:25

That’s amazing for 4. My 6 year old would just about do that. My 4 year old needs to pull his finger out it seems 😄

WorraLiberty · 20/11/2021 17:31

Brilliant amount of detail for a 4 year old and I love the look on the cat's face! Grin

Yeah it's just as egotistical online though - you're just asking strangers for praise instead of people you know. It doesn't make it any better.
CheeGee · 20/11/2021 18:13

@makelovenotpetrol You seem very wound up by me sharing some drawings. I do wonder why you would click on the thread when the title made it quite clear what it was going to be about. I assume you didn't just want the chance to be unpleasant anonymously?

Yeah pretty much that's what I wanted to do.

No - I looked because like I said there have been three of the same thread in the last week so I looked at this one too as it seems to be a "thing" now to ask for pats on the back for PFBs drawings on MN. I mean it is MN though, so what can you expect really?

CheeGee · 20/11/2021 18:25

Well I don't see how I wanted a pat on the back. It's not my drawing. Believe me I wouldn't get any praise if I posted one of those. Grin I just wondered whether he p
