What's causing this?

I have always had sensitive skin and generally use the same products. I've always been ok with The Body shop products and Clarins but over the past few weeks these products have caused my skin to burn and turn red.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

I am mid 40s female could it be a age thing?

Get your thyroid checked

MalbecandToast · 20/11/2021 07:14

Double check they haven't changed the ingredients in any of your products, this happens a lot and it's really frustrating 😑 if this isn't the issue then it could be linked to hormones or thyroid.

Are you taking any new medications or supplements?

Your skin can change, new sensitivities can develop.

The Fact that it's 2 different manufacturers makes me think that an old ingredient in those products or something else new in your environment is causing the problem, rather than a new ingredient in all of both manuf. products.

Thanks very much everyone (sorry my tag never works)

I never thought of a change in ingredients in the products will check the packaging. Not taking any medications or supplements. Will keep hormones and thyroid in mind and mention it to the gp if it doesn't settle down.

Just wondering if it could be the new bubble bath that I started using recently.

My face is still red and looks like I have sunburn today.

Could it be rosacea?

@gobbynorthernbird

Could it be rosacea?
I don't think so as it only happens when I use certain products once or twice a week.
