I've never posted on here before so I'm not sure what I'm even doing, I would be grateful for any information.. If anybody is familiar with Class Dojo, what does 'top of the traffic lights' mean? My 5 Yr son has had this occasionally but I've no idea what it means? (He's in Reception so I'm new to this app) I'm on the free version so I don't pay for premium etc. Can somebody explain 😂 I've tried googling the point system online but not much comes up.. I don't want to pester the teacher over points that she leaves on the app so thought I'd ask on here :)

I doubt it’s directly linked to dojo.

It is most likely a reward system. Top of the traffic lights is probably good…so if the teacher sees a child doing something worth recognising like a good piece of work, careful listening etc they will move that child’s name up. Getting to the top means 2 or 3 moments of recognition in a day.

On the flip side, names can get moved down if children are not making good learning choices, hurting others etc. Top of the traffic light could potentially be bad as top of real tl is red. It would usually be one step down as a warning then the second as a consequence.

As a teacher, though, I would never ever have an issue with parents asking about this if they weren’t sure. Just ask!

Ah reading your post again I’m thinking the teacher gives dojo points for children reaching the top of the traffic light behaviour system
