What the FUCK have they done to scampi fries?

As if it isn't bad enough that they discontinued cheese moments, the scampi fri has apparently been replaced by this monstrosity that tastes like it's been deep fried for an hour then blasted with a gallon of vinegar.
I haven't had scampi fries in decades and now this is what is put before me?

I haven't been this disappointed since the cabana bar was discontinued.

I hope you can hear the song from the TV ad, @southlandssue because I am singing it to you now! 😁 That's so weird because I had forgotten about them until you mentioned them, so now that's two chocolate biscuits that used to feature heavily in my life that were somehow wiped from my mind. Makes me wonder what else I have forgotten about!

I overindulged on cheese moments a few years ago when we were in a pub, ordered a bag and the staff gave me the entire cardboard hanger full of them as apparently they were poor sellers and nobody local would eat them.

I did not realise that was the last time I would ever eat them 🙁

Anyone remember Smax?

Like fish & chips but with a flavour all their own.

They used to sell them in a bakery in the run-down parade of shops by Gateway, where my dad used to go shopping on Saturday mornings in the mid-1980s and the hope of a packet of Smax was reason enough to drag my sister and me away from 'Saturday Superstore'.

The middle of those cheese footballs are like the middle of cheese moments but the rest is a poor substitute. They were my absolute favourite snack.

Phileas Fogg MM... Oh! I loved Scampi Fries too. The only crisps that are remotely the same as before are Hula Hoops. M&S have recently restored Cheese Tasters to their former glory, TG. Unless it was a fluke packet..,

I can’t really go there anymore with most chocolate or biscuits, as my tastebuds can only remember how they used to be... Tunnocks Teacakes, I could cry!

Cheese Moments have been discontinued?! They were my childhood treat out of the vending machine after swimming lessons, and as an adult would be my pub snack 😔

I'm going to write to my MP about Cheese Moments. It's an assault on our human rights, is what it is.

For crisps / snacks, I go to the Asian Supermarket & get the Japanese ones. The more colourful the packet, the more flavour you get!

So many people don't seem to remember Cabanas, I often ponder what happened to them.

I loved Cabana’s my grandad would take me to the shop near his house to buy a chocolate bar and I’d always choose a Cabana.I’d love to see them back on the shelf.
