Intense pain at 35 weeks but it’s not early labour apparenfly

I’ve been having cramps and pains low down since this morning. After trying to chill out at home with paracetamol for a few hours I called maternity assessment and they suggested I come in. I have a cervical stitch so I’m at increased risk of preterm labour.

6 hours later I’ve been sent home still in lots of pain. Monitoring of baby was normal, they couldn’t pick up any contractions, cervix is closed, urine sample, blood pressure, etc. all normal. I’m just baffled that I can be in this much discomfort and they can’t tell me anything about why. It really feels like it could be early labour but doctor says it’s not.

Now I’m trying to get through the night with some paracetamol and codeine they gave me. As it happens I’m back in tomorrow for a scheduled growth scan so at least there’s that.

Has anyone had anything like this? I don’t see how I’m going to get any sleep. Sad

Where is the pain?

I got horrific pain very low down towards my cervix with my super tall child!

It’s low down at the front - where you get period pains really. We’re having a growth scan because measurements are all over the place and I have gestational diabetes so baby could be extra big. I can’t believe it’s just that causing all this though but there doesn’t seem to be any explanation for it.
