Does IKEA give credit notes for returns?

I don't have my receipt but need to return a couple of items. Will they offer credit notes does anyone know?

I returned curtains without a receipt last night. They checked my IKEA card to confirm purchase and refunded me back to my credit card.

I think they refund rather than give you a credit note.
