hi, i have 2 week old with stuffed nose. Doctor told us to count breathing to check if he is ok, like no more than 60 per minute. But if i count when he is awake he breaths very fast def more than 60, if i count when he sleeps its like 40. Maybe you have experience when do you need to count?

If the doctor said more than 60 breaths per minute is of concern then what was the next step, can you remember what they told you - like ring the maternity unit or neonatal ward, or call an ambulance?

Please don't obsess all night, ring for advice and guidance and yes, reassurance, too.

Congratulations on your baby, sniff their head for us please.
