Brown leather satchel for teen girl, big enough to be a school bag. Ideas?

Firstly, I do have this running in S&B, but posting here for a bit more traffic.

Please help me find a satchel big enough for lots of school books etc! I have found some lovely satchels, but they tend to be too small for a school bag.

She likes the ones with pockets at the front I think.

Don't really want to spend more than £50. Definitely has to be brown and ideally vegan leather. DD isn't actually vegan, but has requested this.

Any ideas?

Etsy may be a good place to look! With smaller businesses even if you just find a satchel style you like you have the option to communicate with them either via Etsy or their social media etc and ask about designs:) good luck! X

For a bigger bag it might be a good idea to look at men’s bags - most of the women’s I have seen are too small

More expensive than you wanted but these are fantastic quality -I got one about 15 years ago that’s still used daily.

Do remember that "vegan leather" is plastic and will start to peel approximately 6 months after you buy it. A leather satchel will be very heavy if its big enough to carry books and really impractical. I'd try and talk her out of it!

You are much better off with a good quality canvas bag you can wash. Loads of threads on here. Just look for back packs satchels threads, doesn’t need to be teen specific. Lots of great designs around.

Vegan leather is just plastic, and will fall apart / is much less environmental than tough washable canvas.

Cambridge satchel co, if they're too pricey look for a preloved one on eBay. They're really good quality. Worth the extra £ as proper leather and will last for decades, mine has.
