Baking some chocolate muffins that I want to serve without a case.
Is it easier to bake in the silicone muffin tray and remove whole or will I have more success in baking them in the paper cases and removing when cold (or still warm?) ?

They will look neater if you bake without cases rather than trying to peel the cases off afterwards

Definitely a silicon pan

SnowSurprise · 17/11/2021 08:09

Ok, do I need to grease the silicone or use as is?

Silicone should pop out, whereas the paper ones more fiddly

You'll have no chance getting paper cases off neatly. Not tried silicone cases, but they look brilliant in Bake-off! A well greased muffin tin should work.

saltedcaramelanything · 17/11/2021 08:21

You shouldn't need to grease a silicone tin

EarringsandLipstick · 17/11/2021 09:29

Yes, agree. No need to grease silicone, will work fine!

Sorry misread the muffin tin! In my defence I hadn't had my tea yet.

You can bake muffins in a normal tin without a case if you grease it, or grease and flour it.

Worked a treat. Thank you!
