Can I return the favour by letting you know that if my youngest ds (a teen) washes the cups, all drinks taste of washing up liquid until they're washed again properly?

Oh dear; I'll bear that in mind next time I'm huffing that no-one else EVER washes up 🤣

We went to a cafe once and there was a bit of old lettuce in the milk jug.

Never went back there.

Yuk! I wouldn't have gone back either! Your post did make me wonder if the milk would have tasted of lettuce though 🤔🤣

And mine magically does the dishes - except most of them. Seems to limit task to. those dishes directly within eyeline between sink and 4cm to right. Anything further right or dear god behind does not get a look in.

The taste of cucumber taints everything it touches!

I like cucumber, and I like a cup of tea. But definitely not at the same time.

I reserve my cucumber for Pimm's.

It was only in there a second or two while I grabbed a spoon to fish it out! I definitely didn't expect such a strong flavour from it, in the time between it being dropped in & removed

Six or seven slices of cucumber in a glass of water settles the stomach like nothing I've known.

But no, I wouldn't recommend it in a brew.
