Yes I have been using an SAD lamp and thinking of restarting the Vitamin D.

charabanctrip · 16/11/2021 17:08

I'm struggling too.

SilverSandStorm · 16/11/2021 17:18

Yep it gets dark and I'm straight into my pj's and can't be bothered to do anything.

NotMyCat · 16/11/2021 17:18

Last night it got to about 7pm and I could have sworn it was about 11pm

KittyBurrito · 16/11/2021 17:20

Yes. Echoing the comments up thread - get a SAD lamp!

pinkfondu · 16/11/2021 17:25

Yes have been really suffering this year

littlebigtiger · 16/11/2021 17:28

Me too. 7pm feels like 11pm now.

I tend to head to bed and read by about 8.

I thought it was just me, this year feels extra dark.

Kenneldogsrock · 16/11/2021 17:30

Yes definitely and my sleeping patterns have been dreadful

JustJustWhy · 16/11/2021 17:38

Absolutely. I feel like a squirrel. I just want to hide food in my bed and hibernate.

Justleaveitblankthen · 16/11/2021 18:09

I agree completely. Find myself having to get up extra early, so I have all the daylight hours to do everything I need to do. Once 4pm hits, my energy and motivation fades with the light and I'm going nowhere/doing nothing except snack

ISpyCobraKai · 16/11/2021 18:11

I've used a SAD lamp and white lighbulbs for years, but I still don't do well in winter.

charabanctrip · 16/11/2021 18:12

I shower then go into bed around 7:30pm with a cuppa and some snacks and watch movies or browse the internet.

ISpyCobraKai · 16/11/2021 19:16

I shower in the morning to wake me up, or I've just started swimming which helps.
I don't mind going to bed early.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 16/11/2021 22:26

Me too As soon as it gets dark, it's like a light switches off in my head, and I can't wait to get into bed

stealingbeauty · 17/11/2021 00:35

I feel the same. I’m also really struggling to get up in the mornings.

Poeta · 17/11/2021 06:51

To echo everyone else, sad light is an essential for me and I take vitamin d year round.

Buddyhobbs · 17/11/2021 07:06

I've really struggled to adjust this year too.
I'm usually ok but this year has hit me hard.
Might follow some suggestions above with the vitamin D and SAD lamp.

BuggerOrfDeary · 17/11/2021 07:50

Me as well. I've just started vitamin D., cross fingers it helps
