Hi all,

Does anyone pay for a tutor for there primary aged child? What is a reasonable rate?

I’ve seen rates online ranging from £20-£60 an hour and have no idea Blush

Thanks

I charge £30 per hour. It's pretty standard in Hampshire. I'm very busy/nearly fully booked

It's important to check that the tutor is a qualified experienced teacher - I've seen sixth form/ uni students offering tuition at lower rates. Also consider whether you want face to face or online sessions.

Price around here is around £30-40 but for anything from 30 mins to an hour and everything from students and TAs to really experienced teachers. I eventually gave up looking as I couldn't find a good fit.

Maddy Gittins invested her money in tutoring and it worked well:
