What to do about undelivered online order

I made an online order last week on Monday. The shop I ordered from has a delivery policy of 3 to 5 days. So I should have it by now really. I don't have it yet. I checked my online account earlier and the order is still sitting on 'processing'. I emailed the shop to ask them what the status is of the order and when can I expect a dispatch but they never replied.

Should I email them maybe tomorrow morning and ask for a refund because it wasn't delivered.

Can you call them?

Postal services are very busy at the moment. I wouldn't be asking for a refund yet, unless you no longer need the item.

Is it Waitrose cellar?

I saw on one of the items that I ordered it's out of stock. It wasn't out of stock when I made the order. I played around on their online shop and items are clearly labelled out of stock when they are out of stock and they don't allow you to add it to your basket.

There's clearly a hold up that they never informed me about and I don't know how long more they will keep me waiting for.

I would still like the items but I don't want to be waiting weeks when their policy was 3 to 5 days. I can order from amazon for cheaper and quicker.

I'm factoring in that this is a busy time for shopping. I wouldn't necessarily ask for a refund just yet if you still want the thing. Even Amazon are giving longer dates
