Online sick note from GP

I've filled in the form on the NHS app for a sick note for work. I've got a text from the surgery saying it's been done but how do I get it? Do they email it to me or do I have to go and pick it up? Does anyone know?

I received mine as pdf in text message.
Can you check it’s not oddly attached somewhere ?

Otherwise I would call and ask…

At our surgery it is sent as an attachment to the confirmation text message. What does the email say? That's it's been issued or just confirming receipt of your request.

For those who don't want it as an attachment we can print off a paper copy for collection.

Sorry - I see now it was a text message. It should be attached to that.

It was a text I got confirming it has been issued. I've double checked and it's not attached so I guess I'll call them in the morning and check. Thanks

I got a text telling me it'd been issued and then an email a few hours later or could have been the next morning.

What app is this ? I need to request one?

Whoo · 16/11/2021 09:09

You can either do it on the NHS app or you can go on econsult and do it there. It's so much easier than trying to speak to a doctor. I requested mine at 7.45 in the morning and got the text confirming it at teatime the same day

Surely it will vary wildly between surgeries. I'd just ring and ask.
