Purple radish mark on childs face

Hi my son is 4, he had a temp of 38.4 yesterday and was a bit sick. He said his throat was sore inside his mouth he had some red sores. He spit a bit of blood after being sick I think fro. Tje sore mouth or throat. This morning hes better no temp at all running around like a mad and eating non stop. But then these marks came up on his face I've messaged the dr and waiting a response . Does anyone know what it could be ? It doesn't fade with a glass which is why I messaged tje dr and if this rash came last night I would have taken him to dr right away but as hes so much better im waiting for a dr call back.

If he seems otherwise very well in himself, I would suspect they’re petechiae (tiny little broken blood vessels) from when he was retching/sick. The same thing happens to me when I am sick or have a bad cough - it mainly occurs on the thin skin around the eyes.

But if he starts to feel unwell again, I would take him straight in just to be on the safe side.

I just looked that up and that does fit to be honest. Thank you, if he was unwell I would definitely take him into be seen right away. He so much better today hes running around playing eating and drinking anything u put near him. But if anything changes I will definitely take him right away. Thank u.
