Hi All, I am new here and just wanted to share my concern with you (which was a panic yesterday!). I am 14 weeks and had a strange snot like yellowish discharge yesterday morning (when I had No 2)... sorry for the TMI!!! couldn't believe that it came out :((( gross... started panicking, read loads online but the only thing I could find was infection/ STD (coooome on!). It took me a while to find forums where women share similar experience! In my case it was just a one off, I had no pain or other symptoms so will probably class it as "normal". Welcome to the second trimester? :))
My mother-in-law also said that bowel movements can cause pressure on the cervix and a part of the mucus plug may come out (which regenerates).
But honestly... they tell us that we shouldn't drink alcohol during pregnancy or smoke, should have plenty of fluids and eat healthy...etc etc ect. But they don't tell us about THIS. THIS scary snot like discharge that can happen!!!
Has anyone had such a scare? :))
