Christmas Restaurant Croydon

Could I ask for recommendations for a good restaurant in or near Croydon (or within 20 mins drive) for a family get-together at Xmas please?
Ideally a posh Italian with a private room for 8 adults and 4 primary age children.
Also good would be naice pub with good atmosphere, either with a private room or lovely large table near real fire. You get the gist.
Focus on it being a bit fancy /special and quality food.
