Help!! Anyone been to the Autumn Nations in Cardiff?

Really hope someone can answer me. We’ve got tickets for Wales V Fiji today at the Principality in Cardiff. Our entry time is 2.5 hours before the game however we’re travelling quite far and there’s been a big problem with the trains in the West Midlands. Currently on a rail replacement bus. There’s no way in hell we’ll make it there 2.5 hours before the match starts (3.15pm).

Does anyone know how strict they are with entry times? This is a birthday present and the first live game we’ll ever see so if we can’t get in it’ll be a complete disaster.

I’ve googled and checked Twitter and their website but I cannot find anything.

Please wise mumsnetters can anyone shed a bit of light on things for me?

You don’t need to be there that far in advance. The security/covid checks do take a while so they open the gates earlier than they used to. What time are you due in to Cardiff?

I presume the entry time is a covid thing to prevent a pre-match scrum? Never been given an entry time before.
I can't imagine it will be a problem but perhaps try to have proof of your transport problems. A screenshot of the train cancellation or something. I doubt you will need it though.

We should hopefully make it to the stadium at least an hour before the game. I’ve screenshotted the national rail website so hopefully that’ll help if they think I’m a chancer.

Think the staggered entry times are a Covid measure. You get issued the time when you get your digital ticket. We of course got the longest one.

I’m so looking forward to seeing lovely Cardiff .
