How to cope with a broken hand?

I’ve broken my dominant hand. My job is office based (WFH) I just don’t know how I’m going to cope for the next 6 weeks plus I’ve only got 14 months of my fixed term contract so need to make a good impression. Any tips?

Hoping someone can lend a hand…

Can you voice type? Explain to your employers and hopefully they'll make some alterations or adaptations so you can work more slowly using your left hand.

I don't have any advice even though I broke my own hand at the very end of the summer holidays. I hadn't realised it was broken so tried to carry on despite the pain and ended up only needing the plaster on for a week and half.

I have one working hand permanently, and its much easier for me to type on a small format keyboard (either on my laptop or a compact external) than a full size one. You can turn on sticky keys in Windows accessibility so you can do caps by pressing shift then the letter rather than simultaneously which is really helpful
