Does Ryan Reynolds just play himself in every film?

I fell in love with him in Free Guy, especially with the glasses on so know I'm watching Red Notice and he's just as cute in this.

He’s basically just Van Wilder in every film. But he’s very sexy so who cares?

I watched this last night and I just got fed up of him being ‘Deadpool’ in every film he does. I’d like to see him a serious role. I mean, I found Red Notice fun, but he just bored me a bit doing the same personality as in every other film he’s in.

He was ok in 'Buried', tbf.

He definitely plays to type but he's funny and easy to watch so I don't mind either.

He does seem to play a version of the same character in every film but I don't mind. Hes very funny and watchable-one of those actors that if I see his name on a film I know I'm probably going to enjoy it. I find Sandra Bullock films are bit like that, she's always played similar roles but there's something about her that just makes every film she does enjoyable

He reminded me of Buddy the Elf in Free Guy too. (Mixed with Emmet from the Lego Movie and Truman Burbank.)
The shape of his head unnerves me.

He was really good in safe house with Denzel to be fair but I’ll watch him in whatever!

Even Detective pikachu is basically junior deadpool. I really don’t mind though - he’s a bit like The Rock - you know what you’re getting!

We also just watched red notice and I’m in love with Wonder Woman.

Yes! Like Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell, I’m convinced they don’t act they just are themselves 😂

Apparently RR was channelling the characters from the other films, ie Lego Movie, Elf, etc. That’s why we recognise them in Free Guy (DH told me this interesting fact after we’d seen the film.).
