Heavy bleeding & cramps after Canesten pessary? Fml

As the title says. Anyone experienced this before?

Had a nasty bout of thrush early in the week which didn't respond to Canesten cream so I used a pessary and oral tablet. Now I have the joys of heavy bleeding (not flooding, more like heavy period) and cramps which feel similar to contractions.

Do I ride it out as a normal reaction to the pessary? Or is there something else going on here? TIA.

I've just realised this is possibly TMI. Apologies Blush

Vaginal bleeding is listed as a possible side effect of the clotrimazole pessary, but I'd you're absolutely sure it's not a period early/late I would seek advice via 111.

Thanks. I'd had a look at the side effects and seen it listed but didn't expect it to be this heavy. Period due tomorrow so wondering if I'm getting a double whammy Confused
