Measuring 5+4 at 6+5 should I be worried?

Hi everyone I've posted a lot about my recent miscarriage then my new pregnancy so sorry for yet another one.

I'm 6+5 today and I've had spotting since Halloween. I went to epu for a scan on Tuesday when I was measuring 5-6 weeks (now kicking myself for not asking for specifics) and today I had a private scan that we'd booked before the spotting started as this was when my last pregnancy started to go wrong. Today I'm measuring 5+4 (I should be 6+5). The gestational sac looks healthy, there's a yolk sac and maybe a 1mm fetal pole. The womb lining looks thick. Generally the woman doing the scan was happy that everything looks good though she could find no reason for my spotting.

I have a follow up scan on Friday at EPU which should give us answers but I guess I'm just looking to see if anyone has experienced this? The sonographer said that it's not unusual to have dates that are different from early scans as "they're no an exact science" but I don't want to.gige myself false hope.

At this stage they're measuring something that is literally millimetres in size and them being just a tiny bit out on their measurements can affect the date, basically the estimated gestation is only as reliable as the person doing the measuring and how good a view they've gotten.

FWIW I was always measuring slightly behind at early scans and then when my official dates were done at the 12wk scan I'd always caught up on where I should be. With one pregnancy I had a scan at EPU at 6wks where I was only measuring 5wks, one at 8wks where they estimated 6+4, then at 10wks I measured 8+4. I said should I cancel my 12wk scan which was booked for two weeks after that because if their dates were right then I'd only be 10wks but they said to keep the appointment. Went along to my 12wk scan expecting to measure 10+4 and no, I was 12+1.

Thank you! I'm hoping it's just measurements are a wee bit out. This is reassuring though thanks
