Never had tooth issues. Recent dental visit was 100%

Terrible pain all week. Now constant. Back tight lower tooth I can feel now. I’m on day 4 of antibiotics which have made no difference. Coco damol and ibuprofen. Pain gel too.

Hoping to see dentist on Monday.
Surely antibiotics should help a bit?

Any other tips

If you have an electric toothbrush, try holding it against the tooth. I found that helped with the pain - it confuses the signals to the brain or something. Also don't apply heat (I was initially holding something warm to it) but do apply cold. And sit up in bed - lying down makes it worse.

Massage some clove oil into the gum around your painful tooth.

If you can bear to, gently floss all round the sides. I had sudden-onset toothache and it was actually something stuck down the side of my tooth. The pain was throbbing, and the tooth was sensitive to touch. About 30 mins after flossing it all but disappeared.

Floss and rince with peroxide mouthwash chances are something is stuck and the peroxide fizzes things out

Not my tooth. A stone in the gland. Strong codeine and antibiotics later.
