Your can’t return it if it’s been used. They literally won’t even except the return if the laptop has been turned on.

Do you have DC in school, they might be able to lend you one.

Can you use a computer in a local library? Or does it have to be a laptop?

Where are you, and why do you need a laptop? I mean, do you need it to do a Zoom interview or to carry into a face to face interview?

Would your mobile be suitable? Teams, zoom etc. are all available on a phone. Good luck with your interview.

I need to present on zoom / teams. And do the presentation on PPT. I have an old iPad that might be able to handle it, but not sure... My laptop definitely would be able to at all. Because it's for a job interview obviously I can't do it at a public library.

You can't use it and return it - they won't accept it. Address you sure you need a laptop. Surely you can download the relevant video calling app onto your phone/tablet/whatever you're using to do Mumsnet?

Don't put a laptop on a credit card if you don't have the money for it. Credit cards aren't to be used for that, the previous comment shows some real ignorance.

Google "laptop rental" seems there are places that will hire you one.

What do you need a laptop for? Could the interviewer not provide you with one to use on the day?

Can you ask at a local community centre or community group if they know of any facility eg your local library may have computers for training on.

As I mention it's the actual PPT plus the zoom video call. My current laptop can't multitask (and I'm not sure my iPad can either). They're both fairly old on tech terms.

You don’t need it to multitask. Set zoom call on on phone, use the old laptop for the Presentation.

I think would be hard to do a PPT on your phone practise on your iPad. I’m sorry no one can lend you one. That’s awful
