Calling all bargain hunters - where are the best places to find savings/discount codes

Inspired by a slightly batshit thread about someone being embarrassed to use a discount code at a pub.

I was v impressed with all the posters saying they regularly hunt down discounts/offers.

I always look for these things but I feel like I might be going about it in the wrong way as I'm never usually any good at finding good deals.

We're about to move house and have DC2 on the way so I definitely need to become smarter about sniffing these things out.

So seasoned bargain hunters, any tips or tricks you're willing to share?

To be honest I’ve not found all that many recently 🤷‍♀️ and the discounts offered haven’t been great.

You used to get £5 off a £50 spend at toy stores around now and there has been nothing this year, I’m thinking retailers are trying to claw back the losses from covid.

Also there have been very few Black Friday deals which are actually deals.
