Has anyone gp's contacted them since covid started and you're due one? Pretty sure I'm due one this year or maybe it was last year but haven't been contacted yet when every other year I have been. I'll ring them Monday but just curious if this is maybe a covid thing and been forgotten about ?

I’ve had one since COVID. Had it February if I remember correctly.

August 2020 I had mine so no issues for me

Getting a dentist appointment though…

I had the letter about 4 weeks ago and had it on Tuesday. Had to wait a few weeks for an appointment but no other delay.

Had a letter to make an appointment a few months ago, did so, and had the results in a week.

You can contact your GP surgery and ask them to check when your next one is due.

Yeah I've been contacted.

Was due in April. Contacted in September but probably won't make it until January (very hectic schedule / erratic cycle / busy surgery. I'm not making excuses as I'm fine with smears. I let a student have a practice last time... so I had two in a row )

I’ve had mine since the pandemic too. Still can’t get to see an actual GP but the nurses at the practice all seem to be working as normal

September 2020...all back to normal for well over a year now at my GP for cervical screening ( just have to wear a mask)

I was due one In March, I never got the usual letter so I phoned up and booked one.I was told that due to covid and the backlog they have an extension of 6 months to get you booked from the date you were due it, I’m in scotland but not sure if that’s the case anywhere else x

I'm in Scotland and had mines back in March. I think it was a month or two overdue but I got sent a letter inviting me to book as normal

I'm in Scotland and had one a few months ago but I think they have changed it from every 3 years to 5 now up here. I don't know about England so that might not be relevant at all to you.

They called me on Christmas Eve. I told them where to go albeit politely.

Seems it's just me then 😆 I'll have to give them a call Monday and see what's going on. It's actually a new doctors since my last smear so not sure if maybe that's why I haven't had a reminder...
