Smart plugs

I'm not very tech savvy but can make most things work. We have some smart plugs that only appear to work with a certain type of internet router power type - I'm not sure if this is really true or not but ever since we got a more modern router, the smart plugs won't work. I've tried resetting them and reconnecting - they just won't work with the new internet box.
Can anyone recommend some new smart plugs that are easy to use and work with any type of internet please?

I use Tapo too, very easy to use and set up.

You may need to split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands.

Basically you end up with two SSIDs for your router, easiest thing to do is use the same SSID but for the 5ghz band, just put 5GHZ on the end of the name.

I've had to do this for a couple of devices I have. It's worth a try to see if it solves the problem. You should be able to find instructions online for your router type.
